wow, this is amazing, another school year is about to start. time really does fly by quite fast....lol and i havent, as usual, updated this in about a zillion days. (ok, fine, since spring break actually)
and yes, new layout! ^^" first time i actually kind of had time to play around with photoshop, (i made everything on this layout, lol its not too good my photoshop version is ancient...missing a bunch of newer stuff) even tho technically im supposed to be working on extended essay....which is like 5% done right now. oh well. ill do it later =P
what to say...so much has happened, and i think ive already forgotten most of it o___O.
but of course theres HAWAII...in the beginning of July. i think that was the only enjoyable part of my summer, everything went downhill when i came back from paradise ><"
anyways some beautiful pics of a place where everyone dreams of going....hawaii =D

the building on the left is my hotel...the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani, in Waikiki, Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii. =D very nice inside. the building on the right is the Sheraton Moana Surfrider hotel...its so pretty, lol it has these fantastic columns and everything, AND it has the ocean view...lol our room was only a partial ocean view...(and we couldnt really see that much ocean anyways -___-")

Waikiki Beach...so very beautiful. only a bit too crowded with tourists, but nevertheless this kind of beach, sadly, is better than a Vancouver beach in every way. (i hate to admit it, but its true...) The water is just so BEAUTIFUL, with pale clear water by the shore turning turquoise, azure, and gradually fades into deep clear blue. plus the beach sand is very fine and soft, and theres great wave action. bodysurfing (as several ppl in the pic is doing) is awesome there, esp. since theres no sharp shells or rocks to cut urself on when the waves wash you in. *sigh* waikiki is just too beautiful...i miss it.

Waikiki Beach again, this time the views from the boat thats near the Port hilton. the water is so breath-takingly blue...*sigh* anyways lol about the Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort and Spa...lol it really IS a village, with like 10 buildings and their own bit of beach, AND a lagoon on the other side, AND their own little port. really, the hiltons have the best bit of land in the entire waikiki area.

Lobby of my hotel, with my mom and moi. very impressive, oui? =D. plus, as with all hawaiian buildings, it is open-air. (theres only 3 walls xD) i love the open-air-ness of hawaiian buildings...its so nice ^^"

my sis and me on the atlantis submarines boat. behind us is the hilton hawaiian village, white sand beach, and azure water...ill never forget how nice the water is there, even tho it does taste really salty when i tasted it o___O

Hanauma Bay...a bit to the east of Waikiki, this is a major snorkeling place....too bad my tour group didnt have time for that ><" (altho, *cough* someone else i know got that opportunity to snorkel...not fairrr..>=|) *sigh* i wish i did tho...the sand looks so pretty...

now, lets ignore that bad pic of me and focus on the pineapples. hawaii seriously is the Land of the Pineapple. theyre everywhere, and they TASTE SO GOOD. much better than the imported ones here, theyre much sweeter and tastier in hawaii...that basically goes for all the fruit i ate in hawaii...yummm...
The USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbour. very nice, yet very sad. Oh, and this is practically the only touristy place in Oahu which does not have hordes of japanese tourists visiting it. (we all know why, no explanation needed). but really, waikiki is like infested with japanese tourists...lol almost EVERYONE thot my family was japanese, they kept talking to us in japanese, (including the japanese themselves) and all i could do was a blank look and say "sorry, im not japanese", in which after they look rather flustered and carry on the rest of the conversation in english. =D

Kapalua Bay on the island of Maui. its SO NICE THERE....i cant discribe it in words. but its more than just oh-so-pretty. *sigh* too bad i didnt get the chance to swim here either...the water looks very inviting =D
\
my mom and me in the marketplace under the banyan tree in the town of Lahaina, Maui. lahaina is such a quaint colonial town, with the old-world feel and everything, so laid back and all. plus there were independance day celebrations...too bad i didtn see them here o__O. anyways lol can you believe that all the branches in the bg are all from one single banyan tree? amazing but true.

Ka'anapali Beach near Lahaina, Maui. the water colour is excellent here....when i go back to hawaii im definately gonna stay here =D

Big Island of Hawaii: volcanic caldera. can you believe that that hole there used to be an actual lake of lava? amazing. lucky mark twain, who saw the lava lake before it disappeared...it wouldve been so cool to see it. lol i like mark twains quote: "the smell of sulphur is strong, but not unpleasant a sinner" get it? =P

back in Waikiki: dinner at the Pikake Terrace at the hotel. picture is a bit blurry, but captures the nightlife of waikiki excellently. there are torches everywhere, plus during the delicious seafood buffet dinner, theres live hawaiian entertainment and all. *sigh* i miss the nightlife there...lol theres usually still lots of ppl (tourists) shopping at midnite xD

ABC Store pic: I just HAD to put this in. the ABC store infestation of waikiki is worse than the starbucks infestation of downtown vancouver. there are like 3 abc stores per blk in waikiki, its amazing. its kinda like a convenience/souvenir store, with reasonable prices and stuff.
anyways sorry if the hawaii pics lagged up everyones comp, lol i had to restrain myself from putting more pics on, hawaii is so darn pretty...well at least compared to here, where its raining in the summer, with not enough sunlight so the plants im growing for my SDS arent really growing too much. arghhh.
the rest of the summer was rather horrible...studied and had Harmony 5 and Analysis 5 exam....harmony5 was surprisingly easy (somethings not right if it is...) and the analysis5 exam slaughtered me...i think i failed, lol i didnt even have enough time to finsih the exam...AND it was freezing cold in that exam room where i had to suffer 6 hrs of exams in one day...><"
oh and also my piano exam...yay i passed gr 10! altho not high enough to do to arct. oh well i didnt really want arct anyways, so im just relieved o__O
EE and SDS ---> very little progress. i cant seem to find the motivation to do them...and spearmans rankings are so very boring. x__X
oh errr long post...heh. oh well i wont post until christmas break at the earliest.
lol and never underestimate the power of an excellent one-liner...some of the ones ive picked up during the summer are truly brilliant...darnit im so distracted from doing EE. first it was the Draco trilogy, now xanga xD
anyways in honour of a late website...
Best LOTR Parody i have ever read: stupidring.com (this is SO good...very long, i skipped huge sections of it, but SO DARN FUNNY.) *sigh* ill never forget the rubber ducky blankets, "bro-mine", the wedding cake with the titanic smashed thru it, black eyeshadow, and tic-tacs. ^^"
Best and only HP fanfic ill probably ever read: the Draco trilogy. if anyone likes HP, and happens to either read very fast or has lots of time, i highly recommend this to u. its quite long, (and distracted me from my EE so much) but very excellent. theres 3 parts: Draco Dormiens, Draco Sinister, and Draco Veritas. im halfway thru the 2nd one before i got off it to do ee stuff...its so engrossing. but H is a complete prat in this one, lol.
errr enough rambling from me. school starts in 2 days...what a dreadful thought o__O. back to procrastination and sleepless nights...*grumbles*
i still miss hawaii...its been 2 months since i was there...
