wow, this is amazing, another school year is about to start. time really does fly by quite fast....lol and i havent, as usual, updated this in about a zillion days. (ok, fine, since spring break actually)

and yes, new layout! ^^" first time i actually kind of had time to play around with photoshop, (i made everything on this layout, lol its not too good my photoshop version is ancient...missing a bunch of newer stuff)  even tho technically im supposed to be working on extended essay....which is like 5% done right now. oh well. ill do it later =P

what to say...so much has happened, and i think ive already forgotten most of it o___O.

but of course theres HAWAII...in the beginning of July. i think that was the only enjoyable part of my summer, everything went downhill when i came back from paradise ><"

anyways some beautiful pics of a place where everyone dreams of going....hawaii =D

the building on the left is my hotel...the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani, in Waikiki, Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii. =D very nice inside. the building on the right is the Sheraton Moana Surfrider hotel...its so pretty, lol it has these fantastic columns and everything, AND it has the ocean view...lol our room was only a partial ocean view...(and we couldnt really see that much ocean anyways -___-")

Waikiki Beach...so very beautiful. only a bit too crowded with tourists, but nevertheless this kind of beach, sadly, is better than a Vancouver beach in every way. (i hate to admit it, but its true...) The water is just so BEAUTIFUL, with pale clear water by the shore turning turquoise, azure, and gradually fades into deep clear blue. plus the beach sand is very fine and soft, and theres great wave action. bodysurfing (as several ppl in the pic is doing) is awesome there, esp. since theres no sharp shells or rocks to cut urself on when the waves wash you in. *sigh* waikiki is just too beautiful...i miss it.

Waikiki Beach again, this time the views from the boat thats near the Port hilton. the water is so breath-takingly blue...*sigh* anyways lol about the Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort and Spa...lol it really IS a village, with like 10 buildings and their own bit of beach, AND a lagoon on the other side, AND their own little port. really, the hiltons have the best bit of land in the entire waikiki area.

Lobby of my hotel, with my mom and moi. very impressive, oui? =D. plus, as with all hawaiian buildings, it is open-air. (theres only 3 walls xD) i love the open-air-ness of hawaiian buildings...its so nice ^^"

my sis and me on the atlantis submarines boat. behind us is the hilton hawaiian village, white sand beach, and azure water...ill never forget how nice the water is there, even tho it does taste really salty when i tasted it o___O

Hanauma Bay...a bit to the east of Waikiki, this is a major snorkeling place....too bad my tour group didnt have time for that ><" (altho, *cough* someone else i know got that opportunity to snorkel...not fairrr..>=|) *sigh* i wish i did tho...the sand looks so pretty...

now, lets ignore that bad pic of me and focus on the pineapples. hawaii seriously is the Land of the Pineapple. theyre everywhere, and they TASTE SO GOOD. much better than the imported ones here, theyre much sweeter and tastier in hawaii...that basically goes for all the fruit i ate in hawaii...yummm...

The USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbour. very nice, yet very sad. Oh, and this is practically the only touristy place in Oahu which does not have hordes of japanese tourists visiting it. (we all know why, no explanation needed). but really, waikiki is like infested with japanese tourists...lol almost EVERYONE thot my family was japanese, they kept talking to us in japanese, (including the japanese themselves) and all i could do was a blank look and say "sorry, im not japanese", in which after they look rather flustered and carry on the rest of the conversation in english. =D

Kapalua Bay on the island of Maui. its SO NICE THERE....i cant discribe it in words. but its more than just oh-so-pretty. *sigh* too bad i didnt get the chance to swim here either...the water looks very inviting =D

\

my mom and me in the marketplace under the banyan tree in the town of Lahaina, Maui. lahaina is such a quaint colonial town, with the old-world feel and everything, so laid back and all. plus there were independance day celebrations...too bad i didtn see them here o__O. anyways lol can you believe that all the branches in the bg are all from one single banyan tree? amazing but true.

Ka'anapali Beach near Lahaina, Maui. the water colour is excellent here....when i go back to hawaii im definately gonna stay here =D

Big Island of Hawaii: volcanic caldera. can you believe that that hole there used to be an actual lake of lava? amazing. lucky mark twain, who saw the lava lake before it disappeared...it wouldve been so cool to see it. lol i like mark twains quote: "the smell of sulphur is strong, but not unpleasant a sinner" get it? =P

back in Waikiki: dinner at the Pikake Terrace at the hotel. picture is a bit blurry, but captures the nightlife of waikiki excellently. there are torches everywhere, plus during the delicious seafood buffet dinner, theres live hawaiian entertainment and all. *sigh* i miss the nightlife there...lol theres usually still lots of ppl (tourists) shopping at midnite xD

ABC Store pic: I just HAD to put this in. the ABC store infestation of waikiki is worse than the starbucks infestation of downtown vancouver. there are like 3 abc stores per blk in waikiki, its amazing. its kinda like a convenience/souvenir store, with reasonable prices and stuff.

anyways sorry if the hawaii pics lagged up everyones comp, lol i had to restrain myself from putting more pics on, hawaii is so darn pretty...well at least compared to here, where its raining in the summer, with not enough sunlight so the plants im growing for my SDS arent really growing too much. arghhh.

the rest of the summer was rather horrible...studied and had Harmony 5 and Analysis 5 exam....harmony5 was surprisingly easy (somethings not right if it is...) and the analysis5 exam slaughtered me...i think i failed, lol i didnt even have enough time to finsih the exam...AND it was freezing cold in that exam room where i had to suffer 6 hrs of exams in one day...><"

oh and also my piano exam...yay i passed gr 10! altho not high enough to do to arct. oh well i didnt really want arct anyways, so im just relieved o__O

EE and SDS ---> very little progress. i cant seem to find the motivation to do them...and spearmans rankings are so very boring. x__X

oh errr long post...heh. oh well i wont post until christmas break at the earliest.

lol and never underestimate the power of an excellent one-liner...some of the ones ive picked up during the summer are truly brilliant...darnit im so distracted from doing EE. first it was the Draco trilogy, now xanga xD

anyways in honour of a late website...

Best LOTR Parody i have ever read: stupidring.com (this is SO good...very long, i skipped huge sections of it, but SO DARN FUNNY.) *sigh* ill never forget the rubber ducky blankets, "bro-mine", the wedding cake with the titanic smashed thru it, black eyeshadow, and tic-tacs. ^^"

Best and only HP fanfic ill probably ever read: the Draco trilogy. if anyone likes HP, and happens to either read very fast or has lots of time, i highly recommend this to u. its quite long, (and distracted me from my EE so much) but very excellent. theres 3 parts: Draco Dormiens, Draco Sinister, and Draco Veritas. im halfway thru the 2nd one before i got off it to do ee stuff...its so engrossing. but H is a complete prat in this one, lol.

errr enough rambling from me. school starts in 2 days...what a dreadful thought o__O. back to procrastination and sleepless nights...*grumbles*

i still miss hawaii...its been 2 months since i was there...

[ music: Princess Mononoke ---ive been obsessed about this lately, its so calming ^^" ]

hey...yeah i noe i havent exactly been on xanga for a while (since xmas break, actually) but i can get the privelege of having an extra-long blog rite now! =D

wOW sooo much has happened between now and xmas break i dunno what to say...*blank stare* oh well i should go over some big points ^^"

ok...report cards...i got ok i guess. [warning: marks ranting coming] BUT the most annoyingly irratating thing is that : 85% in both CHEM and FRENCH. arghhhhhh. i worked so hard (ok maybe not THAT hard) on chem and i ended up with that?!?! sucha PAINFUL mark. and french. i thot i could get the a. but noooo im deprived from it. bio, i guess i deserved my mark (83) cuz i noe i messed up the essay. physics at 78...my lowerst mark ='( i hate the subject, hate the teacher, thank goodness im quitting next yr

altho on the HIGHER end, i love my geo mark! lol im not saying what it was but its the HIGHEST *proud look* yes i noe my ego is probably getting a bit too inflated. but hey, i worked really hard for it, pulled 2 all niters just for it, and ended up beating all those guys that wanted to see me fall (metaphorically) *coughcough* u noe who u guys are. now lets see me hold on to that mark once and for all. err..ok my tok mark was quite good too =D (i cant beleive i got so good on my essay o___O) math was respectable at 89 and scrapped the 86 A in english (along with tons of other ppl)

arghh anyways talking about geo..those all niters. they drained me so much. my health is ruined. im finally recovered from the New West field study all niter i pulled last week. the entire week i was like a zombie and falling asleep in every boring class. a wise quote about geo:

"In IB Geography, theres some things u cant pull an all niter for. For everything else, theres procrastination."

--dimsum. (this quote is TOO TRUE).

altho when we actually did the field study in new westminster it was a great field trip since we ended up shopping and stuff ^__^

group photo!--

at back (guys group) Tim Akhil Peter (blah =P) and Oswald.

at front (girls group) Cat Vivian Siyang me. Linna's taking the photo so shes not in here >__<"

lol we actually combined our 2 groups together...fun times ^^"

oh..yeah. ppl going to take ib geo next year, be prepared to have fun yet suffer doing field studies. mine was 35 pages long (the new west one) wise quote from Fan: if ur field study can fit only one staple, u noe its not enough pages" in other words, GRAPHS...i had like a zillion of them -___-"

speaking of future ibers...what a harsh year for 07 ppl. so many ppl (was it 60?) that got cut. look, if u guys (the ppl that got cut) really really wanna get in, appeal to ms willard and impress her a LOT with the interview thats the most important thing. show that ib means a LOT to u. cuz last yr, i heard that some ppl appealed for the 2nd chance and got accepted. or maybe, think about it and decide if ib is really the rite thing for u. its a very depressing time of year rite now...i hope most of the ppl i noe in gr 10 made it in =D

speaking of acceptances...YAY im now polyglots editor-in-chief aka head! actually im not too sure if i should be happy but ill get used to it i guess. haha jess and jane we really need to start up the recruiting thing (and get the mentality of many ppl that polyglots=chuaqui outa their heads)

anyways arghhh ive decided to do geo for my EE topic (tho im still teetering onto the bio possibility..) all i need is what im actually doing now. same for world lit, lol ill think about this depressing skool stuff later. lol and apply for the yr 1 directors too..altho rumours from my sources *coughcough* say we may have to pay for the yr 1 retreat we're going on even after spending all that time and efford planning it. hmmm...

oh im going to OREGON this weekend! (easter weekend) haha LINNA hope to see u in portland! that would be AWESOME! too bad no florida tho...got cancelled...but now HAWAII in the summer (hopefully) cant wait!~

last notes----

JESS L-- thanx for pointing out that the pics didnt load...i loaded it onto another site instead of yahoo it better work this time -____-"

oh copenhagen play wed! hope most of us can make it...ive heard it was pretty good. and arcadia wasnt that bad, oui? altho a bit boring in some places...

anyways enough of me blabbing and talking (kinda randomly, reminds me of my geo field/case studies o___O) im off~

havent been on xanga for the entire summer....b/c i got too lazy and when i actually wrote something really LONG a couple of weeks ago the stupid xanga page window had an error and i lost my post, i kinda got mad at it and stayed off for a while =D

so much happened this summer. guess i'll do a brief summary on highlights etc.

FRANCE TRIP!: that was awesome. first time in europe, its so different there but in a good way. and european fashions are a lot less expensive AND better-looking than stuff in Canada, ever since i got back i got really picky about buying what styles of clothes. i had too much cheese tho...i really REALLY hate cheese now, andi  never really liked it in the first place. PARIS is way cool...and windy. saw the Eiffel Tower (but no time to go up it) Arc de Triompme, Versailles, Dijon, Lyon, and a whole bunch of other stuff. so many pics from it, ill try to post some up later.

History5/Harmony 4 exams: SO GLAD history is OVER. spent the entire week after i got back from France STUDYING my brain out...stupid essays in history and all that memorizing. and i cant believe i actually used all 3 hours to write my harmony exam.

PNE: there was actually a THUNDERSTORM there went i went on sept. 1st. bit pathetic, but the lightning looked good as a backdrop to the revelation. got soaking wet.

NEW COMP!: finally! with fast internet! the old one took forEVER to load everything..lol its pretty weird thyat its so fast.

school tomorrow...oh well. did a LOT of watching TV in the summer. (after everything else was done) mostly chinese channels...those shows are good =D. i liked Eternal Happiness the best (a generic title, as most subtitles for chinese shows go). only weird thing about is was that hardly anyone had the brains to figure out that Lei Gwun was a girl pretending to be a guy. great story though ^^") too bad its ending tonight...rite before school starts.

my room is full of last years papers....i just dumped all the stuff from my binders on the floor. its a gigantic mess >_< better go clean it up.

yet another monthly posting...i DO go on xanga, its just that i dont really bother posting another one up.

may's almost over and june is coming in. the month of final exams, cramming at nite, hyperventilating. doesnt that sounds so exciting? ^_^  and then theres oral defense tomorrow....hope my mind doesnt blank out during the 'defense' part..that would be pretty sad.

argh piano exam comign up on june 21st..im gonna die o_O thats the week rite after the finals/provincials [dumb gov't. what were they doing thinking up gr 10 provincials?!?!!??] and i still havent finsihed memorizing half the songs..hope i get by a 60. dont think ill be getting any higher than 70. and the thing is, its gr 10, so i gotta try to get 75+ (or was it 80?) for ARCT...pressures on

47 days to france [according to rosa] and still counting..gotta buy some stuff for the trip..its like sunshine on a black horizon.
